Yes, I know it is McDonalds....but it is the best McDonalds I've eaten at. It is clean, the people that work there are nice and friendly, and the food is actually really good. We will be back for sure! I was super surprised to find free wi-fi and a tv watching area. Wow way to go upscale McDonalds!

In the Portland metro area, this is the nicest McDonald's at which I've eaten. So, then, when do I eat at McDonald's? (a) when in need of a tide over on a long stretch of road (via $1 burger and $1 drink) prior to a regular meal (b) in an airport, if landing from a red-eye (like at that crappy McDonald's at O'Hare where I got a "tsk" because I wanted my credit card receipt - GFY) (c) in Europe, when you get hit with sensory overload by all these restaurants for which your gut tells you in advance that the meal won't be worth 25 Euros and you catch a Mickey D's from the corner of your eye (d) at the McDonald's north of Montreal along Autoroute des Laurentides in the Porte du Nord service area, which is housed in an attractive stone clad structure, featured very polite service, has a tourist info center in the building, and got 5 stars from me (e) Big Mac special (2 for $4) (f) Filet-O-Fish Fridays ($1.59) The reason for this last visit: (f). About Filet-O-Fish Fridays, I just saw this spring to life within the last two weeks. I asked a manager (NOT at this store - at another store) if it was related to Easter and got "No, we just wanted to provide value to our customers through this menu item." I thought "Save it, ok." Fish on Fridays has it origins in Christian thought and was especially pushed by the Catholics, hence the more humorous than offensive term "mackerel snapper." Moreover, I am currently seeing a fish sandwich on special at the Safeway deli and Jack in the Box has had fish sandwiches on special roughly at the same time as Lent / Easter. So, "save it," then, because there is no need to homogenize and PC-up everything. We all know what the rationale behind Mardi Gras is, which is TOMORROW! God bless you, NOLA, because you don't homogenize and you PC-down instead of PC-up. This McDonald's store is nicer than many Mickey D's, but it's West Linn. The employees are friendly. The menu is a known quantity. The verdict: reliable.

Never ever has this happened to me. I just went through the drive through for breakfast. The wait was long for only two cars. I get to the window to get my food and the MANAGER was handing my food, dropped it on the pavement, and said the bag is still closed, it ok. I asked for a new bag at least, she complied, I look inside and the order wasn't completed so I waited for her to fix it and the food was cold. I don't ask for a lot, just the basics. If you drop my food, at least replace it. I'll never go back.

It's far too close to our house and entirely too convenient, so we end up there way too often. I can honestly say that 8 out of 10 visits, our order is wrong in some way. I once had the girl at the pickup window tell me that I had to come in and get my large pop when I pointed out that they had given me a medium pop. Really? Terrible service!

So I guess this McDonald's was not ready for breakfast, but it's already 645. I am one of two cars waiting in the "grill" parking spot for food. Two cars behind me have already left, but all they got was coffee. Why the hold up this time?

It's a basic McDonalds and it happened to be on the way home with a hungry kid in the car. Kind of a smaller location with a smaller parking lot, had to drive all the way around to get a spot. It's you basic place and was clean.
